"Be The Light Walk" Will light up Green Bay on September 15th

This family-friendly event lights up the night to reduce stigma and prevent suicide. Learn more about organizations and agencies around Northeast Wisconsin who are actively working toward this goal in prevention, intervention and postvention at their Resource Fair.

Hear from renowned author and survivor of suicide, Brandy Lidbeck:

Brandy Lidbeck is the author of The Gift of Second: Healing from the Impact of Suicide. As a young girl, Brandy was faced with the loss of her mother by suicide.

She shares her passion for other survivors to feel understood, connected, and encouraged that they are not alone through her writing and storytelling at

The Gift of Second was designed so people further along in their healing can encourage those just beginning. It is the gift of going second, behind others who have been where you stand today.

The night will conclude with a picturesque 1-mile candlelight walk through Downtown Green Bay.
