The Non-Partisan Spring General Election in Wisconsin is net Tuesday, April 4th.

The Brown County Clerk's Office manages all Federal, State, County, and local Elections held within the county's boundaries.

Statewide and within Brown County, all voters will choose a Superintendent of Public Instruction and a Justice of the Supreme Court.

The candidates for Superintendent of Public Instruction are Tony Evers and Lowell E. Holtz, while Annette Ziegler is unopposed in her bid for the Wisconsin Supreme Court.

Depending on where you live -- Green Bay, Allouez, De Pere, Ashwaubenon, Bellevue, Howard, Suamico, etc. -- you may also be choosing between candidates for various municipal, judicial, and school board positions, as well as making decisions on various school district referenda.

Next Tuesday's vote will have a big impact

Next Tuesday, April 7th, is Election Day in Brown County, and it's very important for all registered voters to get to the polls to cast their votes.

The results of this month's election will have a great impact on our local community.  We will be deciding who fills some very important positions, such as: 

  • State Supreme Court Justice
  • Appeals and Circuit Court Judges
  • Brown County Executive
  • City, Village and Town Leadership.

Besides electing government leaders, voters in Brown County will be answering some very important questions, such as: 

  • "Election of chief justice. Shall section 4 (2) of article VII of the constitution be amended to direct that a chief justice of the supreme court shall be elected for a two-year term by a majority of the justices then serving on the court?"   CLICK HERE to learn how this will change the current process.
  • "Shall Northeast Wisconsin Technical College District, comprised of Brown, Door, Oconto, Kewaunee, Marinette, Florence, and portions of Shawano, Outagamie and Manitowoc Counties, Wisconsin be authorized to issue, pursuant to Chapter 67 of the Wisconsin Statutes, general obligation bonds or promissory notes in an amount not to exceed $66,500,000 for the public purpose of paying the cost of capital expenditures for projects which are included in the District's Master Facilities Plan consisting of constructing new buildings and facilities; adding to, upgrading, remodeling, and improving existing buildings; acquiring furnishings, fixtures and equipment; and acquiring and improving property at, but not limited to, its Green Bay, Marinette, and Sturgeon Bay campuses?"
