Welcoming Royal Scot Golf Course & Supper Club to the Network

May 3, 2018

We are excited and pleased to welcome Royal Scot Golf Course and Supper Club to the Green Bay News Network!

Royal Scot was a private country club built in 1971 by a group of members that once belonged to Shorewood Golf Course. Shorewood was forced to develop 9 of their 18 holes into parking needs for the University of Wisconsin Green Bay.

Their members, wanting to play an 18 hole golf course, purchased property a few miles away from the campus and built what is now known as Royal Scot. Over the years and some changes in ownership, Royal Scot turned into a public golf course. Larry and Joy Rand acquired Royal Scot in 1988.

Today, Royal Scot is run by Larry and his son Marcus.

Royal Scot features 18 holes of challenging golf over a beautiful landscape. Royal Scot is known as one of the premier golf courses in the Green Bay area and is also voted for having some of the best greens in the area.

Royal Scot has a fully-irrigated practice facility allowing you to sharpen up any area of your game. From our large grass tee off area to their target green and yardage markers ranging all the way out to 250 yards, it gives any golfer plenty of targets to aim for.

If you are looking to set up a private lesson, Royal Scot has 2 professionals with over 60 years of combined golf experience to help you in any area of your game.

The bar and grill in the pro shop is open 7 days a week to the public serving all your favorite beverages, burgers, pizzas, cold sandwiches and other short order items. They also offer free Wireless Internet to all of their customers.

Reggie White's Charlotte Area Lakefront Estate to be Auctioned for Charity

February 15, 2018

The Reggie White Foundation Will Donate a Portion of the Proceeds to Provide Life-Saving Dental Appliances to Those in Need with Sleep Apnea

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Feb. 12, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Sara White, Charlotte resident, philanthropist and wife of the late Hall of Fame Football Legend, Reggie White, is offering the Lake Norman home the couple designed and shared, through an exclusive Interluxe online auction scheduled to begin March 12 at 9 a.m.

Sara White, in conjunction with DreamSleep, founded the Reggie White Foundation for Sleep Education, dedicated to providing access to everyone regardless of their financial or insurance status to treatment for sleep disorders. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the home will be donated by the Reggie White Foundation for Sleep Education, to charities that provide life-saving dental appliance technology to people with sleep apnea, the condition that contributed to Reggie's passing in 2004 at the age of 43.

One of the most awarded players in the National Football League (NFL), Reggie played a total of 15 seasons as defensive end for the NFL's Philadelphia Eagles, Green Bay Packers and Carolina Panthers.

He was a member of the College Football Hall of Fame and Pro Football Hall of Fame, a two-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year, a 13-time Pro-Bowl, a 13-time All-Pro, and holds the record for second place for all-time career sacks, with 198, among other honors and accomplishments.

The magnificent, three-story, Simonini Homes custom-built Mooresville home is located at 17235 Connor Quay. The residence sits on 1.2 acres on a double waterfront lot, with over 165 feet of waterfront property.

With 5 bedrooms, 9 baths and ceiling heights exceeding 11 feet throughout, the home boasts lake views from every back-facing window. Complete with an elevator, office on each level, bedroom lofts, private lower-level entrance, gym with sauna, and more than 400 feet of walk-in storage, the home also features a newly installed saltwater pool that overlooks the lake and private dock.

As car enthusiasts, the Whites were sure to include a two-bay, split-car garage that can hold up to seven cars. The property's separate apartment is perfect for extended family or live-in help and proximity to the exclusive Peninsula Club means membership is within walking distance.

"Reggie and I built this home during his time playing for the Carolina Panthers, but we decided three years prior to playing for Carolina, that Charlotte was where we would stay after his retirement to raise our family," said Sara White. "The house offers everything a family could want and more."

A portion of the proceeds, from the auction of the Whites' home, will help educate people about treatment options for the condition of sleep apnea and provide dental appliances through The Reggie White Foundation via Dream Sleep.

"It's important to me to carry on Reggie's legacy by helping others who suffer from sleep apnea and its effects," Sara White said. "It is only right that a portion of the sale of the home we built together should contribute to sleep apnea education and prevention."

Previews of the property begin on Friday, March 9 at 11 a.m. To participate in the auction, interested buyers should visit

"We are so pleased to be working with the White family to help such a notable cause," said Stacy Kirk, director of client development for Interluxe. "This beautiful property is quite unique, and an online auction platform generates a high-level of interest and provides access to a larger field of qualified buyers. The more interest generated, the more awareness we bring to the charity the White family works tirelessly to support."
