Q: How many balloons will there be?
A: Due to popular demand, we have added more balloons. There will be TEN this year!

Q: Where will the balloons be located?
A: The balloons will be set up along the river, with the best viewing location inside of Leicht Memorial Park.

Q: What time will the balloons be lit?
A: Weather permitting, the balloons will light up at dusk- approximately around 7:45pm. The glow lasts approximately lasts one hour, contingent on fuel supply.

Q: Will the balloons lift of the ground?
A: No, they will stay grounded. With the unpredictable wind currents and the proximity to the Bay, it is not safe.

Q: Can people ride in the balloons?
A: Unfortunately rides will not be offered as it is a stationary balloon glow.

A: Not at all! Admission into the igNight Market is completely free, including viewing the hot air balloon glow.

Big Mouth was originally formed by Jay Whitney in 1980 in and around Flint, MI. The bands focus at that time was to play an eclectic mix of blues, jazz, and original music. The band flourished for a number of years playing club dates and festivals throughout Michigan. The band stopped when a few of its members went on the road with other touring bands. Jay Whitney moved to Door County in 1989 and formed a new Big Mouth with Pat Judy, Woody Mankowski, and Paul Sowinski in 1990. After reaching a level of success in Door County and Green Bay, the band decided to add a horn section, this being the birth of the Power Tool Horns. Over the years players have come and gone, but the band’s focus is still the same as it was originally in 1980. And everyone is still having a blast – including the crowd!
