Pi Day 5k Run/Walk to Benefit Green Bay Habitat for Humanity

– For the fifth year, proceeds from the Pi Day 5k Run/Walk will benefit Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity.

What makes this even more impressive? The event is organized each year by fifth graders at Leonardo da Vinci School.
Sponsorships, registrations, raffles, and race course details are done by a team of altruistic students on a mission to give back to the community.

The event will take place on Saturday, March 9th, at 8am, at Leonardo da Vinci School – 139 S. Monroe Avenue in Green Bay.

The number pi is approximately equal to 3.1415926535897932…and is the circumference of any circle divided by its diameter. Leonardo da Vinci’s very first 5k was held on March 14, 2015,
or 3.14.15.

Since then, they have stuck to the “Pi Day” theme and host their race as close to that date as possible! These students have raised over $62,000 to date.

The event includes a 5k run/walk, raffles, and a kids’ kupcake run. New this year, 5th anniversary shirts will be available for purchase. Help these students reach their goals. Register for the Pi Day 5k Run/Walk at https://raceroster.com/events/2019/19849/pi-day-5k-2019.
