2020 Census Update – Invitation Letter & Sample Census Form

Posted on 3-05-2020

You will be receiving an Invitation in the mail shortly!

That may sound like something you’d read in a horoscope or fortune cookie, but this is completely on the up-and-up!

Every household (except those with PO Boxes) will receive an invitation letter (Click Here) from the United States Census Bureau inviting them to complete the census form.
For a sample copy of  the census form, Please Click Here.

Federal funds, grants and support to states, counties and communities are based on population totals and breakdowns by sex, age, race and other factors. Your community benefits the most when the census counts everyone.

When you respond to the census, you help your community gets its fair share of the more than $675 billion per year in federal funds spent on schools, hospitals, roads, public works and other vital programs.

The Census Bureau is using the internet to securely collect your information. Responding online helps them conserve natural resources, save taxpayer money, and process data more efficiently.

If you are unable to complete your 2020 Census questionnaire online, they will send you a paper questionnaire in a few weeks to complete and mail back.

The census is so important that your response is required by law, and your answers are kept completely confidential. If you do not respond, they will send a Census Bureau interviewer to your home to collect your answers in person.
