Pre-Construction Public Meeting

The Village of Allouez, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region, and the General Contractor Dorner Inc. invite you to attend a public update meeting regarding the Libal Street Improvement project. The purpose of this meeting is to provide information about the upcoming street construction schedule and potential traffic impacts.

The meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 1st, 2024, from 5:00pm to 6:00pm, at the Allouez Village Hall, located at 1900 Libal Street. A brief formal presentation is scheduled to begin at 5:15pm. The remainder of the meeting will follow an informal, open house format allowing you time to review the displays and share your comments and questions with project representatives.

Libal Street will be reconstructed from WIS 172 to Allouez Avenue, and resurfaced from Allouez Avenue to Kalb Avenue. The Allouez Avenue and Libal Street intersection is not part of this project and will remain open throughout construction. The reconstruction and resurfacing of Libal Street includes the replacement and spot repair of storm sewer, new roadway pavement, sidewalk, and bike lanes.

Weather permitting, the street improvements between WIS 172 and Allouez Avenue are anticipated to begin on May 13th. Construction activities on the north end of the project, between Allouez Avenue and Kalb Avenue, will begin after June 15th. The overall project is anticipated to be finished in October of 2024.

To help you stay informed, the Village has dedicated a page to this project on their website, which you can visit by Clicking Here.
