47th Bellin Run Takes to the Streets of Green Bay June 10th
Excitement is building as the annual Bellin Run, set for this Saturday June 10th, draws near. This highly anticipated event promises to bring together residents of Green Bay and beyond in a celebration of fitness, perseverance, and the indomitable spirit of humanity.
An annual 10k or 5k run/walk, the first Bellin Run was held in 1977 as a fundraiser for the hospital’s new cardiology wing. Initially, it had about 881 participants, but over the years it has grown significantly.
Attracting thousands of participants from all over the country and the world, the race starts and finishes in downtown Green Bay, and takes runners through some of the city’s most scenic areas, including the tree-lined streets of Astor Park.
For those not inclined to participate in the run, there are many opportunities to volunteer and play a crucial role in ensuring the success of the event. From distributing water along the course, to cheering on participants, every act of support helps create an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.
Whether you are a seasoned runner, a first-timer, a walker, a volunteer, or a cheering spectator, the Bellin Run is a fun and challenging event that brings together people of all ages and abilities in the spirit of fitness, health, and community.
The Bellin Run is not just a race; it’s an embodiment of the spirit of Green Bay. You’re invited to join in and line the streets, share in the excitement, and cheer on those who are ready to conquer the 10K or 5K challenge. Let’s demonstrate once again that in Green Bay, we are not just a community; we are a family, united by our love for this remarkable city and the extraordinary events that bring us together.
