Austin Straubel GRB Welcomes New Air Service from Sun Country Airlines
(Wisbusiness.com 29 April 2021) Sun Country Airlines today announced that it will begin new, nonstop service from Green Bay Austin Straubel International Airport (GRB) to Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) in Fort Myers, Florida and Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) in Phoenix, Arizona. beginning in December 2021.
“We are excited to welcome Sun Country Airlines to Northeast Wisconsin, and we know people will enjoy their low fares and quality service to these two great destinations,” said GRB Airport Director Marty Piette, A.A.E. “As the number of people travelling continues to increase, this new service will make travelling to warm, sunny destinations easier and more affordable than ever before.”
From GRB, Sun Country will offer the only nonstop flights to both Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX). Today’s announcement is part of a larger expansion by Sun Country, which announced 18 new nonstop routes and welcomed nine new airports to its network.
“This is great news for the airport at a time when more and more people are returning to air travel,” said Troy Streckenbach, Brown County Executive. “The airport is an economic backbone of our region with a significant yearly impact of more than $265 million. Adding more flights is another positive step. Now, area residents need to support these flights so Sun Country’s presence at our airport continues to grow.”

Whitney adds that Sun Country’s customer experience includes free in-flight entertainment, a new mobile-friendly website with more self-service tools and new interiors on each aircraft.
