Brown County Library Invites You to “Give A Kid A Book” ~ And to Walk With The Bookmobile In the Holiday Parade!

Posted on 11-14-2019

The Brown County Library has Two Invitations For You:

Give A Kid A Book:

Literacy is vital to a child’s scholastic success, yet in Brown County, 38% of our lower income students are not reading at grade level in 3rd grade.

So what can be done to change that statistic? Last year over 5,000 disadvantaged children living in Brown County were given new books through the Give-A-Kid-A-Book Campaign coordinated by the Friends of Brown County Library. Your donation of a new book will make a difference this holiday season!

Donations of new, unwrapped books for babies, children, or teens to age 18 can be dropped off at any Brown County Library at any time, all year long. Just let them know they are for Give-A-Kid-A-Book! Help every child discover the joy of receiving one’s very own book.
