CP’s 1st Client Art Show – Artists of All Abilities – Ready to Shine

Posted on 7-20-2022

(Green Bay, WI) CP, a nonprofit organization that provides therapy and life skills services to people with disabilities, is presenting its first client art show at The Art Garage this August. Artists of All Abilities will feature client made art from CP’s Adult Day Services programs in Green Bay, Fox Cities and Lakeshore.

“This is a great opportunity to show off the skills and creativity of our clients,” said Kristen Paquet, Director of Donor Engagement & Marketing. “Clients used adaptive equipment and hand over hand assistance to create some amazing, one of a kind pieces of art and we are excited to share this with the community.”

This unique collection of art features paintings, hand crafts and home décor made with various materials. While some art is for sale, some pieces are on display only.

Paquet says the show is much more than an opportunity to sell artwork. “This show is an opportunity to teach our community that people with disabilities like to do the same things that you and I do, like expressing our creativity,” Paquet said. “They may need to do things differently, but having a disability doesn’t limit anyone on what they can do.”

The Artists of All Abilities show will run from August 3 – 27 at The Art Garage, 1400 Cedar Street in Green Bay. Visit theartgarage.org for gallery hours.
