“It’s not about celebrating disabilities, it’s about celebrating abilities.”

~ NDSS Goodwill Ambassador, Chris Burke

Down Syndrome Awareness Month is an annual designation observed in October. The National Down Syndrome Society started Down Syndrome Awareness Month in the 1980’s.

Down Syndrome Awareness Month (DSAM) is a chance to spread awareness, advocacy, and inclusion throughout the community. During the month of October, celebrate individuals with Down syndrome and make people aware of their abilities and accomplishments.

Locally, the abilities and achievements of Persons with Down Syndrome, are supported and encouraged by CP.

During October, CP is featuring the achievements and abilities of persons with Down Syndrome daily on their Facebook Page.  They invite you to “Tune In” and check out these success stories.

You can support CP in these efforts, and in all of their many community services, by participating in their “Home Grown” CP Auction 2019.
