Farewell to Neil Anderson, Director of the NEW Zoo
Neil Anderson is retiring from the NEW Zoo after almost 30 years of service. Since Neil’s arrival in 1992, the NEW Zoo & Adventure Park has grown and developed into a world-class facility dedicated to connecting our community with wildlife and nature.
“I’m proud of the NEW Zoo & Adventure Park’s many accomplishments over the last three decades. It’s been an honor to serve the people of northeastern Wisconsin and to see how our community has been so supportive over the years,” said Anderson. “I’m grateful to our visitors and our donors, and also want to thank all our past and present NEW Zoological Society Board Members who’ve helped us become the world-class facility that we are.”
Guests can visit with Neil from 1:00pm to 2:00pm, on Friday, July 29th, just outside of the zoo’s Visitor Center building. Cupcakes will be served while supplies last, and zoo admission will not be required for those who are just stopping out to wish him farewell in person.
Admission will be required, however, for those wishing to visit the Zoo before or after seeing Neil.
Anyone who stops out will be invited to leave a message for Neil in a special guest book, or you can submit a message digitally HERE.
