GBPD’s Multi-Jurisdictional Teen Police Academy Returns for Summer
A popular summer program that introduces teens to the profession of law enforcement is returning for its 24th year. Applications are now being accepted for the Multi-Jurisdictional Teen Police Academy, organized by the Green Bay Police Department (GBPD) and Brown County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO).
Participants will learn about specialty units such as Dive Team, K9, and Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) and watch demonstrations. They will also test their skills at crime scene processing, and tour the Green Bay Police Department, Brown County Sheriff’s Office, and Brown County Jail.
Teen Police Academy is open to Brown County students who are currently in grades 9-12 for the 2023-24 school year. It is scheduled for June 17-20, 2024, from 9:00am to 3:00pm, each day, at the Green Bay Police Department, 307 South Adams Street. Lunch will be provided.
Class size will be limited to 30 students; therefore, registrants need to commit to attending.
Applications will be accepted through Friday, May 24th, 2024.

Completed applications can be mailed to or dropped off at the Green Bay Police Department, emailed to a Crime Prevention Coordinator, or submitted to a School Resource Officer.
NOTE: Due to the structure of the academy, an application is required, and a criminal background check will be run on each applicant. Anyone with a felony arrest record will not be eligible to attend the academy. Anyone under the age of 18 will need the signature of a parent or guardian in order to participate.
