Green Bay Police Competing for Aftermath K-9 Grant ~ Help Them With Your VOTE!

Posted on 10-24-2019

The Green Bay Police Department competing for a grant from Aftermath for their K9 program.

The Aftermath K9 Grant was founded to showcase, support, and reward the unique contributions made by K9 units across the country and, indirectly, to recognize and support the communities that we both serve. The month-long contest awards grants, up to $20,000 in total grants, to new or established K9 programs for maintenance, safety equipment, or officer training. Officers and community members nominate and vote for local departments through our website and on Instagram; the departments with the most popular votes receive grants (up to fourteen grants awarded).

In 2018, grants totaling $20,000, were awarded to fourteen K9 units across the country. Open to law enforcement departments nationwide, last year’s K9 Grant involved over 3,300 agencies. During the voting period, more than 280,000 votes were cast with almost 40,000 coming from Instagram fans showing support for their local department. Larksville Police Department and their beloved K9 Una took home the 1st place, $5,000 grant.
