Green Bay Police Department’s St. Patrick Day Reminder: Drive Sober!

Posted on 3-16-2023

The Green Bay Police Department will be monitoring for signs of impaired driving and arresting anyone suspected of Operating While Intoxicated (OWI) on St. Patrick’s Day.

The OWI Taskforce, which is made up of multiple Brown County law enforcement agencies, will be deployed from Friday, March 17th, at 7:00pm, until 3:00am, Saturday, March 18th.

“We are not against the celebration, but we cannot stress enough the importance of a safe ride. Please do not put us in a situation where we need to tell someone that they have lost a loved one because of a suspected OWI crash,” said Lieutenant Tom Buchmann, Green Bay Police Department.

This initiative is funded with the use of a grant from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.
