Green Bay Public Schools Hosting Financial Aid Event: Free Help With Applications

Posted on 12-19-2023

High school seniors planning to pursue post-secondary education will need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). FAFSA is the form that must be submitted to be considered for federal and state financial aid, including grants and loans.

College Goal Wisconsin and the Green Bay Area Public Schools (GBAPS) are hosting free events this winter to help students and their families complete the FAFSA.

If you’re applying for financial aid for the 2024-25 school year (typically July 1st, 2024, through June 30th, 2025), you should file a 2024-25 FAFSA form. Contact your school to verify which award year you should apply for, especially if you’re attending school during the summer.

The following events will be held in-person. Students and families may attend any of the following events, regardless of where the student currently attends school:

Preble High School – January 9th, 2024 beginning at 6:00pm in the “LMC”

West High School – January 11th, 2024 beginning at 6:00pm – Enter through the Main Entrance

Event attendees will also be entered to win a scholarship. Please direct questions to the student’s school counselor.
