Green Bay to Host Events During Small Business Week: April 28th to May 4th
National Small Business Week takes place on April 28th – May 4th, 2024: Dream Big, Start Small, and Support Local .
In celebration of the almost 10,000 small businesses and their many contributions to our local economy, the City of Green Bay is planning to have several events throughout Small Business Week.
On Tuesday April 30th the City of Green Bay will be hosting a Lunch & Learn event in Spanish.
The program subject will include a small business funding program called, “Sin Credito o Mal Credito, No Hay Problema – No Credit, Bad Credit, No Problem” in partnership of WWBIC at the Fiesta Latina Restaurant located at 1911 University Avenue Green Bay. Doors will open at 11:30 am, and the program is from 12:00 Noon to 1:00pm. This program is free and lunch will be provided by the City of Green Bay’s Community and Economic Development Department.
The City of Green Bay’s is also preparing for their 4th Annual Business Walk which is planned for Wednesday May 1st, 2024.
The Business Walk includes community volunteers that will be reaching out to small business owners to get their feedback about our community and discover ways to better support them. The Business Walk event will gather volunteers who are passionate about supporting the vibrant business community at the Bay Family Restaurant (located at 1301 Military Avenue, Green Bay) on May 1st, starting at 9:00am. From there, teams will disperse throughout the city to visit, survey, and engage with local businesses. The Business Walk will also be available online on the City’s website.
“The City is thrilled to sponsor and organize both the Lunch & Learn in Spanish and the Business Walk in the Military Avenue Corridor,” said Green Bay Mayor, Eric Genrich. “Our local businesses are the backbone of our community, and by coming together to meet them where they are and offer our support, we can contribute to their success and enhance the overall vitality and prosperity of the area.”
