One Year In: An Update from CP
May 7, 2018 was the first day CP opened the doors to its new 21,000 sq. ft. building addition. Shortly after that, the full renovation of the rest of the facility wrapped up and the entire building project was complete.
The last year certainly has flown by as we’ve gotten to know our new space, and the positive impact the extra room has made on our programs and clients is immeasurable.
Building highlights include a new lounge in our Aquatic Center, a welcoming space for patrons to socialize before and after class, which is just as important to an active and healthy lifestyle as exercise. In CP Early Education & Care, our inclusive childcare program, bright new spaces to explore, learn and play give all children an opportunity to shine.
Therapy Services, which relocated from the lower level of the building to the main floor, is averaging 1,200 occupational, physical and speech therapy visits each month. And in Adult Day Services, CP’s largest program, we’ve enrolled 19 new clients and launched new classes like Yogabilities and videography – and we’re just getting started.
Our new space is the pinnacle of some big changes CP has gone through over the last three years. In addition to our physical space, we update our brand with a new logo, tagline and an updated name. You won’t hear us call ourselves CP Center anymore. We are simply CP.
Why the change? Because CP isn’t just one place. Over the years, we’ve been in schools, in homes, in medical offices. We’ve expanded to additional locations in the Fox Cities and on the Lakeshore. And we’re out in the community at events, sharing disability education. So to us, CP isn’t just a place – we are a true community resource.
What’s next for CP?
While we are still settling into our new home, we have our eyes set on new projects and initiatives that include our Fox Cities and Lakeshore locations, as well as here in Green Bay. We continue to welcome new clients and are excited to see our CP family grow, and we feel fortunate to have had amazing community support along the way. Stay tuned for what’s next!
