Phoenix Men’s Soccer Releases 2023 Schedule

Men’s Soccer head coach Jeremy Bonomo recently announced the 2023 schedule. Heading into his ninth season, Bonomo guided the Phoenix to a successful 6-3-7 campaign last fall.

Green Bay has 18 games on the docket, including two exhibition contests and nine games at Aldo Santaga Stadium.

Key returning players include defenseman Hesron Barry, the reigning Defensive Player of the Year, Tobias Jahn, the 2022 Horizon League Goalkeeper of the Year, midfielder Josh Johansen, and Christoph Schurz and Keegan Walker, who were tabbed to the All-Freshman Team last season.

GB will open the season at Wisconsin for an exhibition game on August 12th before hosting Marquette on August 19th to conclude preseason play. The Phoenix will stay home for three more games to begin regular season action when Memphis (Aug. 24th), Western Illinois (Aug. 27th), and Southern Indiana (Sept. 1st) visit Titletown.

Bonomo returns to his east coast roots for a battle against Boston College on September 4th. GB will visit Detroit Mercy for its first Horizon League contest on September 9th, before returning home for a clash against Purdue Fort Wayne on Sept. 16th.

After playing four of five on the road, Green Bay will wrap up the season by hosting three of their final five games. The season will conclude in a battle for the Chancellor’s Cup in Milwaukee on November 1st.
