Professor Emeritus Paul Wadell to Speak at St. Norbert College Commencement on May 12th

St. Norbert College Professor Emeritus, Paul Wadell, will be the commencement speaker at St. Norbert College’s Commencement Ceremonies on Sunday, May 12th, beginning at 11:30am in the Mulva Family Fitness & Sports Center. In addition to giving the commencement address, Wadell will be awarded an honorary doctorate.
Wadell, the author or co-author of nine books, scores of scholarly articles, book reviews, and a long list of publications in the popular press, began his career at St. Norbert in 1998. His work received widespread recognition for both its scholarly depth and inspirational impact. As professor of theology and religious Studies at St. Norbert College, he raised the profile of the college to national renown in the arena of Catholic intellectual life. Wadell was named professor emeritus at St. Norbert College in 2019.
Fred Schmidt, chair of the St. Norbert College Board of Trustees and a 1975 graduate of St. Norbert, will authorize the conferring of master’s and baccalaureate degrees. St. Norbert College president Laurie M. Joyner will award the degrees and diplomas with the assistance of Michael Marsden, interim vice president for academic affairs.
