Small Business Saturday: Shop Small on Saturday, November 25th

Posted on 11-22-2023

Small Business Saturday is November 25th, the Saturday after Thanksgiving. While small business owners appreciate a day that is dedicated to mom-and-pop shops across Wisconsin, they also want to remind consumers that to support small business every day of the year – and help keep our local economies strong and thriving!

Founded by American Express in 2010, and officially cosponsored by SBA since 2011, Small Business Saturday has become an important part of small businesses’ busiest shopping season. Historically, reported projected spending among U.S. consumers who shopped at independent retailers and restaurants on Small Business Saturday reached an estimated $17.9 billion according to the 2022 Small Business Saturday Consumer Insights Survey commissioned by American Express (source: sba.gov).

The Green Bay News Network encourages our readers and members to “Shop Small” (Shop at Small Businesses) and Shop Local this Holiday Season – and throughout the year.  Our Small Businesses have been there for us, now let’s return the loyalty – and be there for them too!
