De Pere, Wisconsin –  The St. Norbert College music department will hold its 40th annual Summer Band Camp on the college campus June 20th-24th. The one-week commuter camp is open to music students who have completed grades 5 through 9. It will take place in a series of sessions from 9am to 1pm, Monday through Friday, concluding with a free concert Friday, June 24th, 7:30pm, at the Walter Theatre in the Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts, 315 Third Street, in De Pere.

Students may be dropped off as early as 8:30am, and should be picked up at 1pm each day.

The camp will be directed by Philip Klickman, assistant professor of music at St. Norbert College.

In addition to the main band, the camp will also include a jazz ensemble. Students who play saxophone, trumpet, trombone, drum set, piano, electric bass or guitar are highly encouraged to sign up.

Tuition for the Summer Band Camp is $135 (for those bringing their own lunches) or $182 (including an all-you-can-eat lunch). The St. Norbert College music department is offering $10 off tuition for each previous year a student has attended the camp.

For example, those who have attended camp the previous two summers can subtract $20 from their tuition.
