Allouez Beautification Committee Seeks New Members
Love flowers? Love Allouez? Love both? The Allouez Beautification Committee (ABC) invites you to join them for their 29th season of flower beds and pots on Webster Avenue and Riverside Drive. ABC meets at 6:30pm, on the third Tuesday of the month April through November at Village Hall, 1900 Libal St. (Next meeting is May 21st.) It’s a great chance to learn about the all-volunteer, non-profit group, meet new people, share ideas and have some fun.
ABC’s main mission is to raise the funds each season to purchase the flowers for displays that have become an Allouez tradition. It also seeks volunteer gardeners to adopt a bed or pot to weed and recognizes beautiful front yard gardens in the village with its popular Garden of the Month honors.

2024 Street and Utility Construction Project Update
The 2024 construction season has begun in the Village of Allouez on some or all of the streets listed below:
Libal Street Utility and Street Improvement Project: The Libal Street Project is comprised of two separate projects happening between March and October 2024.
Utility Improvement Project: Under Village contract, work on this project will begin the week of March 4th and be completed middle to end of May. In general, the utility improvements include the replacement and lining of various segments of the existing sanitary sewer, replacement of existing water and sanitary sewer laterals from the main to the property line (STH 172 to Allouez Ave.), spot repair of sanitary sewer manholes, and relocation of existing fire hydrants.
Street Improvement Project: Under State contract, work on this project is proposed to start as soon as the middle of May and be completed early in October. In general, the scope of work includes the reconstruction of Libal St. from STH 172 to Allouez Ave. and the resurfacing of Libal St. from Allouez Ave. to Kalb Ave. The roundabout at Allouez Ave. is not part of the project and will remain open throughout the duration of the project.
Libal Street from WIS 172 to Kalb Ave. to remain closed. Please obey all regulatory signage, especially at sideroads.
Street Resurfacing Project — The resurfacing projects include: Removal and replacement of the asphalt pavement; Replacement of defective concrete curb & gutter, sidewalk and driveway aprons; Evaluation of the existing gravel base and replacement when needed; Manhole & catch basin repairs; Landscape restoration.
Project Update:
Kenny Street – Libal St. to Jenkel Terr: Work began the week of April 22nd. Substantial Completion Date – Mid June. Replacement of defective concrete curb and gutter has been completed. Cure time on driveway curbing is 7-10 days before use. Excavated areas adjacent to newly installed curb to be backfilled and restored. Weather permitting, removal of the existing asphalt is tentatively scheduled for Monday the 13th of May. The paving of the street to follow. To accommodate the removal of the existing asphalt pavement and paving thereof, please move any vehicles parked in the street by 6am.
Sunrise Lane – Libal St. to Briar Ln: Work began the week of April 22nd. Substantial Completion Date – Mid June. Replacement of defective concrete curb and gutter has been completed. Cure time on driveway curbing is 7-10 days before use. Excavated areas adjacent to newly installed curb to be backfilled and restored. Weather permitting, removal of the existing asphalt is tentatively scheduled for Monday the 13th of May. The paving of street to follow. To accommodate the removal of the existing asphalt pavement and paving thereof, please move any vehicles parked in the street by 6am.
Brenner Place – Bittersweet Ave. to Cul-De-Sac: Work began the week of April 22nd. Substantial Completion Date – Mid June. Replacement of defective concrete curb and gutter has been completed. West Mission Street – Du Charme Ln. to S. Webster Ave: Work began the week of April 22nd. Substantial Completion Date – Mid June. Replacement of defective concrete curb and gutter has been completed. Weather permitting, removal of the existing asphalt is tentatively scheduled for Monday the 13th of May. The paving of street to follow. Libal Street – WIS 172 to Kalb Ave: Work to Begin – Week of April 15th. Substantial Completion Date – Week of April 22nd. The sewer lining has been completed, lateral improvements to follow.

Webster Avenue – Greene Ave. to 2612 S. Webster Ave: Work to Begin – Week of April 15th. Substantial Completion Date – Week of April 22nd. The sewer lining and restoration of Webster Ave. has been completed.
