Unext focuses on connecting local businesses with students

Tyrone Powell (right) and Alex Marchese (left), both UWGB students, have been frustrated seeing their college friends pursue their degrees with great uncertainty. They want to help their friends get informed about different career paths – to help them feel confident in pursuing their degrees. This is the reason they created Unext.

“Too many college students pursue a degree for a career they might not even like. It is important students love the field that they are entering because they are paying tens of thousands of dollars to go to school for it. First-hand experience is the best way to learn about a career path, but it is hard for students to make these connections.”

Unext aims to help college students learn about different career paths by connecting them to businesses. With Unext, students will be able to pursue short-term and long-term opportunities to connect with professionals who are currently working in a field.

These connections can be just as beneficial for companies. Unext helps employers fill job/internship openings by connecting them with local, quality students. Employers will be able to promote and market their company to thousands of students at different campuses by creating a customizable company page.

Unext is more than a job board, and it offers nearly countless opportunities to connect with students.

With the help and support of Webfitters, Tyrone and Alex are looking to start helping students as soon as possible! They will be introducing the platform before the 2020 spring semester starts.

Up until December 25th, Unext is offering any and all employers in the Green Bay area a 50% discount for a one-year subscription to the service.
