What’s New at Foundations Health & Wholeness?
Suicide Prevention Month
September is Suicide Prevention Month, a month dedicated to raising awareness about suicide, having crucial conversations about mental health, and confronting the alarming rates of suicide, particularly among middle-aged men.
With suicide rates for men being three to four times higher than for women, the stigma around seeking help is costing lives. It’s time to speak up, take action, and change the narrative on men’s mental health.
Dudes & T.A.C.O.S. (Trailblazing Adventure of Connection, Outreach, and Support), a men’s wellness initiative by Foundations Health & Wholeness, aims to break that silence and destigmatize mental health. Through engaging monthly events, we create comfortable, non-judgmental spaces where men can connect, learn, and lead healthier, more fulfilling lives—all at no cost, thanks to generous donors.
This initiative goes beyond therapy. It’s a community-based program dedicated to changing the narrative around men’s mental health, reducing the stigma, and providing accessible support and connection, all with the aim of reducing suicide rates.
