City of Green Bay Announces Fall Leaf Collection

Posted on 10-06-2022

The City of Green Bay Department of Public Works will begin its fall curbside collection of loose leaves and garden waste on Monday, October 24th, 2022. This material can NOT be placed to the curb prior to Monday, October 17th, 2022. Placing loose leaves and yard waste to the curb before October 17th, 2022, is subject to collection fees.

Per City ordinance, yard and garden waste must be placed on the terrace (not in the street) and should NOT be co-mingled with brush. Bagged material or co-mingled material will not be picked up. Please pile loose leaves in an open area of terrace away from trees, posts, and mailboxes to assist in speedy collection and to minimize damage to equipment.

Weather permitting, collection will continue for five (5) weeks and end on Friday, November 25th, 2022. All leaves and yard waste left for collection must be out to the curb no later than Sunday, November 20. Residents who work in their yard after November 20th must dispose of their own yard waste. Yard waste left at the curb after November 25th, 2022, is subject to collection fees.

It is not possible to accurately tell residents the exact day their yard waste will be picked up, but once collection begins, you may contact the Department of Public Works – Operations Division at (920) 448-3535 between 8am and 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, to find out what area crews are working in and how they are progressing. Daily informational updates will also be available on the City’s website.
