Green Bay Schools Seeking Feedback on Conceptual Boundary Scenarios

Posted on 3-07-2024

The Boundary Adjustment Advisory Committee has been meeting to provide feedback on conceptual boundary scenarios to facilitate recommendations by the Facility Task Force regarding consolidation of schools and the addition of 4K-8 schools.

The public will be able to learn more about the conceptual boundary scenarios in the following ways:

There will be two public meetings held on Tuesday, March 12th, 2024 at 12:15pm and at 6:00pm, in the Neville Public Museum’s auditorium (210 Museum Place, Green Bay).  The District will be using an Instant Language Assistant (ILA) which translates languages either to text and/or voice depending on the language. Members of the public needing translation are asked to bring a device (smartphone or tablet) and headphones. The District will have a limited supply of devices and headphones available.

View maps at Neville Public Museum (free admittance to the conference rooms) – The public can visit the Neville Public Museum during the following days and times to view large scale maps of the conceptual boundary changes: Wednesday, March 13th – Noon – 5:00pm; Thursday, March 14th, 8:00am- 5:00pm; Friday, March 15th, 8:00am – 5:00pm.  A recording of the presentation will be available to review along with information on how to submit feedback.

District website – gbaps.org (available starting March 13th, 2024) – The conceptual boundary maps will be available to view on the District’s website, along with a video of the presentation, and a feedback form.

The feedback gathered will be used by the consultants, Woolpert, and the Boundary Adjustment Advisory Committee to rework the proposed boundary scenarios. In April/May, staff, families and the community will have another opportunity to provide feedback on the proposed boundary scenarios. Finally, the boundary recommendations will be presented to the Board of Education in June.
